An approach to the use of photochemical toxicity of 8-methoxipsoralen activated by UVB narrow-band (311 nm) on Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
ResumoA Saccharomyces cerevisiae model was used to evaluate the photochemical toxicity of 8-methoxypsoralen
expressed as percentage of growth inhibition using tow different concentrations, 0.4mM and 0.05mM, and UVB
narrow-band (311nm) for the photo activation. The preliminary results suggest that the concentration of 8-MOP play
a role on the photochemical toxicity, but not, with the concentrations used, on the chemical toxicity.
