Ethnographic Animation: Participatory Design With the Longhorn Maio

Abstract

This research argues animation can be used as an innovative form of ethnographic documentary. Firstly, post-colonialism in ethnographic documentary will be discussed; and then I shall illustrate what representational strategies can be used in presenting minorities’ customs from their own perspective. Finally, principles of participatory design will also be addressed.
