O Palco Judiciário e a Emoção Mediática
Abstract
Esta reflexão, aproveitando a semana de reabertura dos tribunais e a sua cobertura nos espaços informativos dos principais canais de televisão – RTP, SIC e TVI- visava um dos temas ultimamente mais debatidos – Justiça e Comunicação social.
Porém, a eclosão do atentado de 11 de Setembro, se por um lado levou à exaustão desse tema, conduziu por outro à escassez de notícias sobre justiça.
Duma análise simultaneamente casuística e comparativa, concluímos que, se a concorrência conduz à diversidade e pluralidade de opiniões, com consequente melhoria do sistema de informação, traz também a competição pela guerra de audiências, violentando, não raras vezes, padrões éticos. Neste contexto assistimos à subida dos «fait-divers» aos noticiários. Abordámos a actuação dos jornalistas e dos que agem no palco judiciário – operadores judiciários – reclamando daqueles maior profissionalismo e observância das regras deontológicas, e destes, respeito pelo direito a uma informação correcta e leal.
