Configuração mediática dos acontecimentos do ano
Abstract
Pela memória, os acontecimentos passados, vividos na experiência pública por uma comunidade histórica, podem ser rememorados e reconstruídos. A memória reporta-se ao que aconteceu antes, ao que se passou e que alguém declara recordar-se. Partindo de uma reflexão sobre acontecimento, tempo, memória, quadros sociais damemória, pretende-se abordar “acontecimentos do ano” colocando questões tais como oque significa, em termos mediáticos, sociais e simbólicos, a selecção pelos media dos acontecimentosdo ano, a aquisição por parte destes de um tal estatuto e o processo de reelaboração e transmissão mediática de uma memória social. Aspira-se tentar perceber sehá um acréscimo de sentido, um novo estatutoe significação atribuídos aos acontecimentos do ano seleccionados e se os balanços do ano construídos pelos media funcionam hoje como um mecanismo de apropriação do tempo histórico e construção da memória colectiva.
