Study of Financial Practices in the Modern Age: The Requirement of a Converging Culture, The
Abstract
When addressing the topic of financial practices in the Modern Age the analysis can be performed from the viewpoint of economic history or fiscal sociology. There is no lack of conditioning factors in terms of accounting, law, politics, mentalities, history of art and spirituality.
The sources of information of the time (texts/pictures) require research methodologies and comments, with a combined multidisciplinary effort, the results of which will contribute to a more profound study of the topic.
This article shows how the researcher, with an extensive biography and sources of different types, must place himself in the crossroads of different areas of knowledge in order to clarify the study of money and its representations and of credit, of merchants and markets, of tax collectors, of the political system and social assessments, inventorying and covering a range of topics required to reflect on the clarification of the issues to be studied.
