Rebecca Johinke

Rebecca Johinke is an Associate Professor in the Discipline of English and Writing at the University of Sydney, Australia. Her work examines gender and popular culture. She has published many articles and chapters on Australian film, and about magazines, magazine editors, and the image of the journalist in popular culture. She has published two books: Queens of Print (2019) and The Gendered Image of the Magazine Journalist on Television and Screen: Fashion and the Failing Feminist (2026).
