About the Journal
About the Journal
The Lusophone Journal of Education (RLE), founded in 2003, is a quarterly scientific publication of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development (CeiED), Institute of Education, Universidade Lusófona, supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
Aims and Scope
RLE aims to serve as an international forum for the dissemination of high-quality, original research subject to peer review, as well as critical reflections and essays covering a broad spectrum of educational research.
While it has a particular interest in educational contexts within Portuguese-speaking countries and their global interactions, the journal welcomes contributions from all geographical regions.
All submissions must be methodologically rigorous, theoretically grounded, clearly articulated, and relevant to an international audience of researchers, teachers, technical staff, and policy-makers.
Contributions from the field of education sciences are central, and interdisciplinary approaches that contribute to the understanding of educational issues are also encouraged.
RLE particularly values manuscripts that bridge theory and practice, provide critical perspectives on contemporary educational debates, explore innovative pedagogical approaches, and contribute to the formulation and evaluation of educational policies.
The main objectives of RLE are:
- To promote a comprehensive understanding of education through the publication of robust empirical studies and theoretical work;
- To foster interdisciplinary dialogue;
- To inform and improve educational practice and policy;
- To make educational research accessible and relevant to diverse audiences.
