Information For Authors

Temas Sociais Journal accepts for publication original scientific articles, of a theoretical and/or empirical nature, as well as essays, interviews of academic or scientific relevance, and critical reviews of works relevant to the fields of the social and human sciences, with particular emphasis on social work, social policy, and social intervention.

Manuscripts may be submitted in Portuguese, English, Spanish, or French, and contributions from national and international authors are welcome.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an external peer review process, under a double-blind peer review system, ensuring high standards of academic rigor, quality, and ethical integrity.

Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s online platform, and prior registration is required  https://revistas.ulusofona.pt/index.php/temassociais/user/register

Submitted manuscripts must comply with the journal’s editorial policies, namely those concerning research ethics, open access policy, copyright, privacy, and good editorial practices, available in the About the Journal section, including the Code of Ethics and Good Practices.

By submitting a manuscript, authors declare that they assume full responsibility for the content of the work.

Temas Sociais adopts international best editorial practices, ensuring interoperability, persistent identification, and the digital preservation of its contents. The journal uses the OAI-PMH protocol for metadata dissemination, assigns DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) to published articles, is configured for indexing in Google Scholar, and ensures long-term digital preservation through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN).
