Temas Sociais, n.º 5
No. 5 (2023)The journal Temas Sociais is published by Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário de Lisboa and the LusoGlobe Research Centre. It is a forum for the publication, dissemination and debate of ideas and research in social intervention, particularly social work. The journal aims to contribute to theoretical advances, policy outlines and practice configurations. It welcomes articles by academics and professionals from the areas above on relevant social issues in today's society.

No. 8 (2025)It is with great pleasure that we present issue no. 8 of Revista Temas Sociais, published by Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário de Lisboa and the LusoGlobe Research Centre. Faithful to its mission of fostering debate and disseminating knowledge in the fields of social intervention and Social Work, this edition brings together nine articles that reflect the diversity of themes and challenges that shape contemporary society.
This issue reaffirms the journal’s commitment to valuing contributions that combine academic rigor with social relevance, promoting critical and reflective perspectives that inform theoretical advancement, the design of public policies, and the qualification of professional practices.
This edition was coordinated by Jacqueline Marques and Hélia Bracons, with the support of Ana Paula Garcia (secretary). The Editorial Board is composed of researchers from leading national and international higher education institutions and research centers.
