"In this volume, it was possible to include contributions from various sectors of academia and the judiciary, throughout the different sections of the Journal. In the first section, the Guest Authors Section, we find two texts by Appellate Judges from the Porto Court of Appeal, which illustrate the ties between Academia and the Court, and represent the fruitful discussion that took place during the Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Conference held in June 2024. (...) We conclude this opening note with an encouragement to read and critically engage with what we have published here."
