Abstract

Abstract: The present article aims to evaluate what has been the impact of the CPLP in the promotion andconsolidation of the respect for Human Rights. Based on this analysis, the purpose is to find out how the CPLPreconciles its clearly intergovernmental vocation, based on a principle of respect for the sovereignty of States, with the defense of universal values associated with Human Dignity, questioning if this can´t be the motto for a crisis of legitimacy within this international organization.
