Information For Authors

Would you like to send contributions to the ULP Law Review? We invite everyone to check the About the Journal section and read the section policies, as well as the Instructions for Authors. Authors must register in the system before submitting an article; if you have already registered just access the system and start the 5-step submission process.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Contributions may be submitted in English, Portuguese or Spanish.

2. Articles must not exceed 60,000 characters, including spaces and footnotes (excluding bibliography), and must be preceded by (up to) 10 keywords and an abstract. In exceptional cases, the Editorial Board may accept larger texts.

3. In the abstract it should be easily recognizable the purpose, originality and relevance of the article, the methodology and its conclusions.

4. Authors should ensure that articles do not contain any reference to their personal or professional identity.

5. All copies must be submitted in Word (.doc /.docx) format; referencing should comply with The Chicago Manual of Style[1].

6. Case notes, book reviews and other submissions must not exceed 30,000 characters, including spaces and footnotes (excluding bibliography).

Submissions can be (also) sent to law.review@ulp.pt.

The following information must also be included in your email: full name; year the article was written and its title; any other information you consider appropriate for the first stage of selection.
