Revista Lusófona de Educação organizes an issue on the topic above, according to a wide and pluralist perspective, in order to outline a global view on recent theoretical and empirical trends in the field of comparative and international education. UNESCO sponsors this issue, since that Organization has had a significant role in stimulation as well as on the use of its intellectual works in accomplishing its missions.
