Inclusive education is a fundamental right that extends beyond compulsory schooling to encompass the transition to employment and adult life. In a global context shaped by technological advances and social challenges, this special issue explores practices, policies, and experiences that promote equity and social justice across educational and socio-labour trajectories. Priority is given to theoretical and empirical contributions from Ibero-American researchers that analyse persistent barriers and innovative solutions for effective inclusion.
This proposal is grounded in a shared reflection on educational systems that seek to prevent exclusion by addressing diversity from early identification through to socio-labour inclusion. Interdisciplinary collaboration is particularly valued as a means of enriching global dialogue, with an emphasis on scientific evidence capable of fostering transformative change. This space aims to bring together original studies that critically examine current practices and propose pathways towards a more equitable society.

- Inclusion in compulsory education: pedagogical practices in primary and secondary education, overcoming barriers and assessing national and international policies.
