Uma Nova Ordem do Saber? A Escola no Espelho da Inteligência Artificial

Abstract

Quem trabalha com tecnologias digitais utiliza há várias décadas a Inteligência Artificial (de agora em diante IA), entre outras funções, para o tratamento de dados e produção de conhecimento.
Mas uma forma de democratização da IA generativa chegou recentemente às escolas básicas e secundárias e às universidades. Tem estado a ser incorporada por estudantes, investigadores e professores para produzir e detetar textos e imagens, por exemplo (e um dos mais falados tem sido o Chat GPT). Ao fazermos
essa utilização, estamos a contribuir também para alimentar e otimizar as bases de dados já existentes. Todavia, se a fiabilidade nem sempre é perfeita, há respostas que obtemos que, apesar de erradas poderão parecer credíveis. Assim, muito se tem pensado a propósito das alterações que a utilização da IA obriga a introduzir nos quotidianos académicos. Vamos, pois, refletir um pouco sobre esses quotidianos, nos quais se desafia cada vez mais a Inteligência Humana (doravante IH).
